The lease is signed and the work begins
Something big is taking shape in Western Sydney. 🌿
Sydney Marae Alliance and Cumberland Council have formalised a lease of 1.5 hectares at Hyland Road, Greystanes — the future home of a landmark Māori Cultural Centre that will serve our communities for generations to come.
While we build towards that vision, we're not waiting. Right now, our community is coming together to maintain the land, grow our connections and create a living space where traditions are practised, culture is celebrated and new ideas take root.
This is just the beginning — and we want you to be part of it.

The Sydney Marae Alliance is thrilled to announce the approval of our Landmark Development Application for the Sydney Maori Cultural Centre by the New South Wales Planning and Development Department and Cumberland Council.
